In this talk, we
first
review the development of the study of
q-variational inequalities for
differential operators, ergodic averages, singular integrals, and some classes of semigroups. Especially, we present that the boundedness of vector-valued q-variational operators is closely related to the geometry properties of the Banach spaces which the functions take values in. we also extend the theorems of the sharp
Ap
weights to the
q
-variation of average operators and Calderón–Zygmund operators on the spaces of homogeneous type.
